(Above) Golden Pond Resident, Delores Kadlik along with some help from staff here have been creating gifts, hand made items and gift baskets to sell to other residents, staff and family members to raise money for charity.

All of the profits from the sale of the gifts are donated to Project Just Because, Inc. of Hopkinton which is a charitable organization that raises money and basic household supplies for families in the Metro West area who are in need.

“I have always wanted to give back” Ms. Kadlik said of her creation called the ‘Caring Cart’ where she sets up shop with all of her things for sale right in the lobby of Golden Pond. The Caring Cart has been an amazing success; Ms. Kadlik was able to donate $231 to Project Just Because.

Another run has net $464 in profits. According to Ms. Kadlik, she and her team hope to have the cart set up and available again at many more holiday appearances.
